A popular video sharing website Youtube Provides analytics so that users can easily measure the performance of their channel. Wouldn’t be good if you add Youtube analytics in your WordPress? In this post, I will show you How To View Youtube Analytics From WordPress Website.
First thing you need to install Youtube Analytics Plugin and activate it. After activating plugin, simply go to WordPress Dashboard. Now scroll down and see Youtube Analytics Dashboard Widget.
After going to Youtube Analytics Dashboard you will need to give the plugin a permission to access your Youtube account. For this you have to click on Get Access Code which you see on the above image written in blue line. After clicking on the link it will take to your Google Account, where you will be asked to give permissions.
After going to permission page simply click on Access.
Now copy the access code and paste into your Youtube Analytics dashboard widget and save the access code button. After pasting the code you will now see Youtube analytics data. It will show your stats like this.
If you want to configure the plugin settings then click on Settings >> Youtube Analytics.
First option in plugin settings is to use your own API credentials. Below you will see two buttons clear authorization and clear cache.
By using clear authorization you can remove Youtube access code that you added earlier and by cleaning the cache you can remove the data the plugin downloaded earlier.
Second option is to choose user roles that are allowed to see the stats of Youtube. The default option in this plugin is administrators, But you can easily change if you need to share the channel analytics with other users on website.
For annotations performance and stats like engagement, you need to check the box which you can see under additional stats. Youtube analytics plugin also allows users to choose a CSS theme for the stats widget and duration of time for the cache.
Once you change the settings as told above, click on the save changes button.
